Sean: Since it’s opening, the Village Social in Mount Kisco has become one of our favorite spots to relax with friends, have a drink, or enjoy any of their amazing meals or desserts (which we even talked about here on my birthday last year). One thing we never did though, was order a burger.
Angel: …until now, that is. The Spinning room began a journey that was far from what we had planed. We checked in advance, found out their kitchen opens at 3 pm and it should be a 2 hour drive. Knowing our usual knack for random stops, we planned for an extra hour of driving. Time [...]
Sean: Before the votes were tallied and the winner chosen, we had to make a trip to each of the 10 nominated regional winners… a trip that would start somewhere familiar and somewhat in our own backyards at AJ’s Burgers in New Rochelle.
Angel: Well, it’s not so random. Still working to finish the Hudson Valley Magazine’s 2011 Best Burgers, we decided a 3 hour round trip drive wasn’t enough to stop us from trying the next on the list.

Angel: Sean and I finally got a moment to run over to a place we’ve been hearing a lot about, The Yard House in Yonkers, NY. They’re known for having over 100 beers on tap and their own micro brew, but the high praise we heard on their burgers is our “excuse” for going.
The votes have been tallied for the New York Beef Industry Council’s Best NY Burger Regional Winners! The Regional Winners can be viewed by clicking the ‘Best NY Burger‘ tab. Judging will take place over the next few months and the winner of Best NY Burger will be announced on May 15th! Once again, many [...]
Angel: To help gain awareness and stir the Long Island votes, Sean and I decided to make a day out of it. After a bit of research, I found 6 spots that seemed a natural fit. No way were we going to eat that many burgers in one day, but 3 split in half and [...]
Sean: With both of our planned stops named after animals (raccoon and armadillo) that we (sadly) often see feet up on the side of the road, a theme for this journey was formed. Before we could get underway, we received calls from our good friend Dennis (you might remember him from the burger challenge) and [...]
