Angel: Feb 10th was the Chinese New year and Feb 12 was Mardi Gras. Which do we celebrate? BOTH! Well, sort of. Our first stop wasn’t quite Chinese food (we are burger lovers, after all), it was an American pub grub with an Asian flare, Social Eatz. It’s a small midtown spot with a small [...]
Angel: So, we jumped on the band wagon. We read the NY times review of Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen and Bar, followed it on the news, watched Guy’s reply, and took in all of the further fallout. After all the news and excitement, we had to go! It would be an educational trip to round [...]
Sean: Over the past year, any time we found ourselves in need of a burger, but without a place in mind, we’ve looked to the August 2011 edition of Hudson Valley Magazine for guidance and inspiration. It has led us to some incredible spots and, unfortunately, some establishments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. [...]
We apologize that, due to technical issues, there was no post last week. Sean: We first visited Emma’s a few months ago. We needed a quick ‘after work’ stop and ‘Yelpers’ seemed to enjoy it.
Angel: Some one asked us about Little b’s in Tarrytown about 6 months back. Surprisingly, with all of our burger adventures, it was not on our radar. Then, not too long after, I found…

Angel: …until now, that is. The Spinning room began a journey that was far from what we had planed. We checked in advance, found out their kitchen opens at 3 pm and it should be a 2 hour drive. Knowing our usual knack for random stops, we planned for an extra hour of driving. Time [...]
Angel: We awoke in Binghamton with three more days of burgers (and a lot of driving) ahead of us. With 150 miles planned for the day, and (only) 90 before our first stop, we started the day thinking we had some time to kill and should enjoy the scenery.
Sean: Before the votes were tallied and the winner chosen, we had to make a trip to each of the 10 nominated regional winners… a trip that would start somewhere familiar and somewhat in our own backyards at AJ’s Burgers in New Rochelle.
Angel: How can you go wrong with a name like Ale ‘n’ Angus Pub? – Sean: Easily. Far too often I’ve tried a ‘world famous,’ ‘greatest ever,’ or ‘award winning’ food only to walk away extremely disappointed. While I tried to keep a clear mind and walk in without any expectations, it’s hard to deny [...]
