Burger Score:
3 pt out of 5 for the Overall
If you’re looking to replace the Big Mac or Whopper in your diet with something better, Five guys is it.
3 pt out of 5 for the Quality/originality
It’s better (and healthier) than typical fast food, but nothing above and beyond here.
2 pt out of 5 for the Presentation
It arrives looking as you’d expect it to.
4 pt out of 5 for the Toppings
It’s hard to deny the long list of free and enjoyable toppings.
2 pt out of 5 for the Meat
Because of a ‘well-done only’ policy, the burgers are dry and overcooked.
3 pt out of 5 for the Bun
It’s a standard middle of the line bun that held up well without adding or taking away from the burger experience.
0 pt out of 3 for the Temp
Even when cooking well-done, there are ways to do it without leaving the meat overly dry.
0 pt out of 2 for the IT factor
Burger Total: 17 pt out of 35
It’s a much better choice than McD’s or BK, but if you’re searching for the best burger or looking to fulfill a burger crave, continue driving.
3 pt out of 5 for the location.
For a chain, it’s a nice place with some charm. Clean, easily accessible from the highway, and a friendly staff make this the place to go when in a hurry.
3 pt out of 5 for value.
If you like lots of toppings, you can get your money’s worth.
3 pt out of 5 bonus points.
+1 for a sign that says where their potatoes came from, the satchels of potatoes, and a pile of peanut oil.
+1 for not having to do extra math to figure out how many toppings you can afford.
+1 for the Cajun fries!!
